Takachiho log shiitake mushroom coverage

In Takachiho Town, we interviewed and photographed Mr. Masato Kudo, former head of the village revitalization group, and Mr. Tetsuro Fujiki, head of the Hyuga Jikansha, regarding the log shiitake mushrooms.

The log shiitake mushrooms are grown on a 15- to 20-year-old snugi tree as a base, drilled holes and hammered one by one, and then the logs are assembled and laid down in the mountains where they are not exposed to direct sunlight and are well ventilated.

I was surprised at how long it had been, and at the same time, I was impressed by the weight of the sasuke, the sasuke that will be passed on to the descendants of our ancestors, who have left us a legacy for the future.
